so I have been using zed for about a year now, since the release of zed 1.0 i have been thinking why i use zed over vs code and i came up with a few reasons the speed like it’s so fast, and it doesnt take up like 1 gb of ram just for idling the ram usage is actually pretty small like it uses around 50 mb of ram on idle it has good ai features build into it, and its not all messy like vs code handles the ai it looks better and just does things that i have been like why doesnt vs code do this, it would make so much more sense if they did it this way it’s not owned by microsoft, i hate microsoft, hate hate hate them. mostly because they are greedy for info and barely open source any of there stuff zed is really good and downloading and managing extensions
